Animals for a Better Tomorrow

February 23-March 3, 2012

Rosenberg Gallery, Barney Building, NYU

Opening Reception

Wednesday, February 22nd, 5:00PM-7:00PM

NEW YORK, February 14th, 20-12— The movement for sourcing food locally has been gaining traction for many years in New York City. Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) programs that source food from local farms have become commonplace and others have been experimenting with the even more local practice of starting rooftop farms producing fruit and vegetables. Taking this movement to an a logical progression and expansion and pushing the boundaries of what consumers are comfortable with, Animals for a Better Tomorrow explores the benefits and ramifications of taking the local production of food from produce to animal products. The exhibition will explore the potential positive and negative effects this could have on the city as well as the animals.
